Mitre Group is a leading provider of effective business training. Founded in 1992 and based in Derbyshire, we initially designed and delivered bespoke leadership, management and team development programmes for corporate clients such as KPMG and BP.
Over the years our offer has widened and developed in response to customer recommendations, market opportunities and invitations from funding providers to extend our services. So, we’ve listened to customers and built on our strengths to offer what is now a holistic solution to training needs in any sector.
In 2005 we recognised that quality and qualifications were becoming more and more important to our customers, and we became an Accredited Centre of the Institute of Leadership & Management, the leading professional awarding body for leadership & management qualifications and are able to offer nationally-recognised qualifications for Team Leaders, First Line Managers and Senior Managers.
More recently, we have extended our awarding body status, and now also deliver City & Guilds, EDI, HAB, CIEH and IOSH programmes on a regular basis. So, as well as developing the management and leadership skills of our clients, we also develop the technical, personal and workplace skills of the whole workforce.
The most recent development has been the addition of NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications) to our services. We integrate our high-quality training services into a package that includes assessment in the workplace of candidate’s skills.
Along the way, we’ve won and delivered over 30 contracts publicly-funded by the Learning & Skills Council, becoming experts in accessing public funding.
We’ve supported over 10,000 delegates from all sectors with training, development and assessment services. We rightly claim to be Leaders in Training. Our 2,000 clients would agree.
