National Apprenticeship Week
UK businesses joined forces earlier this month to celebrate the positive impact of apprentices during National Apprenticeship Week (9th – 15th March). Events were held up and down the country and the week also saw the launch of industry-designed degree apprenticeships in sectors such as engineering, public relations and construction.
Mitre joined in the action, taking the opportunity to celebrate the success of past and present apprentices. During National Apprenticeship Week we were also delighted to award apprentices at Derby County Community Trust, The Albion Foundation and Cricket Derbyshire with their apprenticeship certificates. To date Mitre has worked with over 40 apprentices within these organisations alone and we are thrilled to report a pass rate of over 90 per cent and all these apprentices have gone on to gain employment within the organisation they trained with, or with another suitable employer nearby. Laura Weston, Danny Tomlinson, Ryan Hudson, Sam Langridge and Isaak D’Amico, who are now working in full time roles at Derby County Community Trust, within the football club or Derbyshire FA, are just a handful of former apprentices who did just that and were among those we raised a glass to in March.
We’d love to hear from you.
