EVENT SECURITY OPERATIONS
This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in event security operations.
The objective of the qualification is to prepare learners for employment as an event steward providing learners with knowledge, understanding and skills in health and safety, responding to a variety of situations during events, managing the movement of spectators, managing conflict situations, responding to emergencies and providing information and advice. In addition to the mandatory content, there are several optional units that provide flexibility in meeting both learners’ and employers’ needs.

How long will it take?
To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake a total qualification time (TQT) of 171-hours and of this 112-hours is recommended as guided learning (GL).

How to respond to occurrences during an event
How to manage the movement of people during an event
How to conduct searches of people and their property before entering an event
How to contribute to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults during an event
This qualification is assessed by open-response questions and a practical demonstration.
