Forward with Fulham
In March, our wide-reaching training programme at Fulham FC will continue to grow when we welcome a new wave of students who will be working towards apprenticeships in activity leadership.
Each of the these young apprentices will gain real-life experience at Fulham Football Club Foundation as they develop valuable work and coaching skills.
The new apprentices join over 60 learners who are already studying for accredited qualifications through the club’s community foundation. Many of these students are embracing a bespoke programme that provides new skills to help them get back into work via courses in sports leadership, sports volunteering and employability. And it doesn’t stop there, we are also working directly with the foundation's own education and coaching staff to support the development of their teaching and assessment skills, enabling them to gain accredited qualifications. This in turn will help to grow the learning opportunities open to the community in and around Fulham.
Steven Day, Chief Executive at Fulham Football Club Foundation, commented: "Our aim is to build better lives through sport and the introduction of these new sports apprenticeships with Mitre allows us to further broaden the learning opportunities we offer young people. Opportunities like these are essential if we are to continue inspiring young people to make a difference in their local area."
We’d love to hear from you.
