Fully Funded Training and Qualifications for West Midlands Residents

It’s tough out there. A new set of restrictions was not the way we all hoped 2021 would begin and living and working under the new guidelines is a challenge for everyone.

Amongst all the restrictions, we are delighted to share some good news with residents in the West Midlands and announce our next batch of FREE Mitre training courses!

Whether you’re looking to upskill yourself for a new position, start on a new path or take those first all important steps into employment, we’re opening applications for our next set of courses.

Feedback from our first set of courses has been amazing and we’ve been thrilled to help so many individuals develop their skills.

"I thought the fast track course worked well for me personally and Roz delivered it fantastically well. She was knowledgeable and her presenting skills allowed me to stay engaged and easily take in information. "

What qualifications could I get?

- Leadership and Management (ILM Level 3 Certificate)

- Customer Service (Highfield Level 3 Certificate)

- Coaching Sport and Physical Activity (1st4Sport Level 3 Certificate)

- Skills for the Health, Lifestyle & Science Industries (AIMVOC Level 2 Certificate)

How does it work?

Our courses are led by expert Mitre Tutors who will take you through a planned programme of learning. Course lengths vary by qualification so please check the course pages for more details. All courses are being led online due to current COVID restrictions.

What do I need to do to be eligible to apply?

You must be aged 19 or over and have access to an online platform to access to the training.

How much do the courses cost?

Thanks to the West Midlands Combined Authority, places are fully funded and so there is no cost to you. Places are limited so please, register your place early to guarantee a position on the course of your choice.

How do I sign up?

To register your application, please head to our website; and register for the course of your choice. Spaces on the course are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Once we’ve received your application form, our team will be in touch to complete a ‘Learner Journey’ form with you and to confirm your eligibility for the training programme, for which we’ll require proof of address.

Course resources and instructions will be sent in advance of your course start date.

Is there any other catch?

Absolutely not. Our aim, aligned with the West Midlands Combined Authority, is to help support residents during this time to get into employment, or develop into new careers.
