Designed with input from the Institute for Leadership and Management, Barclays Bank, Virgin Media, TUI, and many other well known UK organisations, this Apprenticeship is applicable across sectors and provides the essential underpinning knowledge and skills required to effectively lead and manage staff.
Enrolling your staff onto this course, they will first have the opportunity to develop their emotional intelligence to gain a better understanding of themselves before going on to learn the knowledge and skills that will allow them to effectively lead and manage others.

About This Programme
A Team leader or supervisor is a first line management role, with operational and project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.
Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally.
What You Will Achieve
On completion of the qualification, the apprentice will achieve the Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisor Apprenticeship, professionally recognised by the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management.
This apprenticeship can be completed by anyone aged 16 and over and must be put forward by their employer. Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level and take the test prior to the end point assessment. Mitre Group will provide additional support for candidates requiring assistance with English and Maths.
The Learning Pathway
Successful completers will be able to move into senior roles within the Sector – leading teams of people or specialising with certain populations, particular sectors or programmes.
